[Case Study] Running Life Instead of Life Running You

HourglassSharon* had just received a promotion at work and gone from a part-time to full-time basis. She has 3 kids at home and a supportive husband who traveled often. It was her responsibility to run the household.

She was feeling incredibly overwhelmed with her knew role at work and the compressed time in her schedule. She felt that her superiors could tell things were slipping. Her husband certainly could and their family life was suffering.

After coaching together for a couple of months, Sharon and I built, tweaked, and evolved particular time and task systems for her world that capitalized on her strengths. They were built leveraging her work and life style – the only way a system can work is if it works for you.

Halfway through our coaching process Sharon had 2 co-workers compliment her on her level of organization and asked for HER for tips on how they could improve their own systems.

She developed a new system for meals and errand running that saved hours a week and created a much more peaceful home life during her evenings. She was able to work far less at home and be more present with her husband and children.

One of the greatest side-benefits from the process was that she witnessed improved behavior in her children because she was more in control and life was flowing more smoothly.

As a result Sharon was able to get back to the gym and taking the time to take care of herself again.
