How To Deal With Uncomfortable Feelings

It’s that time of year filled with everything from birthdays to graduations, baby showers, and weddings. There always seems to be a lot going on.

It can be easy to get caught up in the busyness of it all – and I definitely do – but I also love it when life serves up multiple opportunities to connect with people and let them know how much they mean to you.

Through it all we get to experience these lovely little pauses of gratitude, love, excitement, joy – maybe even peace and ease.

Have you ever noticed that we don’t try to change these “good” feelings? We don’t worry about ourselves for having them. They arise and they subside. They ebb and they flow. This is the natural course of things.

And yet when we have feelings that are uncomfortable – we react completely differently. We get worried about ourselves for having them. We try to figure out how to feel better. And fast!

The irony is that this often ends up making us feel worse. The logic doesn’t add up.

Which is why I created this week’s video – to offer you a new option for what you can do with uncomfortable feelings that doesn’t inadvertently create more of them.

In this video [7:49] we aim to answer two questions:

  • How do I manage feelings I don’t like to feel?
  • What can I do to feel better?

This is an unconventional approach that has been wildly helpful in my own life and the lives of my clients. I hope you enjoy it and if you are ready to dive deeper into this understanding, please check out my group and private training programs here.
