Hi there. Welcome.
You’ve come to the right place if…
- Your mind is full of swirling thoughts about how to move forward
- You’ve tried bribing, negotiating, cajoling, scolding yourself but new strategies or habits don’t always last
- The more you push yourself the more resistance you feel – showing up as overworking, procrastination, stress, and anxiety
- In an attempt to get away from it all you find yourself escaping into TV, food, drink, games, shopping, etc. which tends to generate more anxiety and stress
- You aren’t sure how but feel there has to be an easier way to move life forward
Whether you relate to some or all of this list, I’m glad to let you know that you are right – there is an easier way. One that doesn’t involve fighting or monitoring yourself every step of the way. One that definitely doesn’t require more discipline and willpower on your part.
It took me years and years of struggling with these same issues to stumble upon a solution that truly changed how I interact with life – and myself – on a day-to-day basis. The same can be said for the vast majority of my clients.
This work goes deep. And it is very different from a traditional approach to stress and anxiety management. This isn’t therapy.
“My work with Julie has transformed my life and my internal world at a pace that has been comfortable for me. The work is subtle but it goes deep. I found myself beginning to change without all the efforting and desperate self-help activities that are so in vogue now (and that had never worked for me).
Julie’s work has been life changing in the realms of time management, however I personally consider her work “become authentic to yourself’ coaching.” – Nancy, Wisconsin.
What I love about this approach is that it doesn’t give you more to do but actually takes thinking off your mind.
With a clearer mind it is vastly more obvious how to move things forward – without all of the mental kicking and screaming.
What quiets down your thinking isn’t the latest and greatest mental technique but rather a deeper understanding of how thoughts and feelings work together to generate behaviors.
When we see how the system is working for ourselves we naturally just have less to think about. There is more space in our minds to live life in a way that works for us. There is a deeper alignment to who we truly are which alleviates resistance and generates greater productivity, creativity, and well-being.
We are more open to listening to our deeper intuition and a better understanding of what that actually sounds like.
This approach isn’t a cure-all for the ups and downs of life but rather a highly practical way out of our culture of stress and anxiety that has brought more relief than I knew was possible.
“Working with you has completely changed my life. I see myself in a whole different light. I see myself as a successful, productive person. I do not beat myself up like I use to do. I do not use the word procrastination any more. I stopped beating myself up! I literally never thought I could achieve what I have done. I achieved goals I had always had for myself and it feels so very good.” Sally M. Virginia.
How Coaching Works
Bi-Monthly Coaching Sessions:
Typically we meet over the phone or Zoom twice a month.
Schedule permitting, sessions can be scheduled in-person if that is preferred. Travel fees apply beyond the Washington, D.C. area.
Private Insight Retreat:
For those that want accelerated results, I offer a day of coaching where we dive into the areas you are most interested in creating change.
This day-long experience includes over 4 hours of coaching, lunch, and additional resources. The day can also include other people if that is preferred.
Retreats are held in-person at a relaxing location in Middleburg, VA, at your own location, or virtually over Zoom.
“My mind is considerably calmer – I am able to identify ‘thought storms’ sooner and have less interest in staying at the center of them. This has opened opportunities for living in the moment, considerably reduced self criticism and opened my mind to new ideas. It is a softer approach to taking action.” – Kitty G., Northern Virginia
How to Get Started
I’ve found it best to start by having a chat over the phone. This conversation will provide you with value, clarity, and next steps regardless of whether you decide to work together.
“Working with Julie allowed me to clear away a lot of the mind clutter that has been holding me back. Together we challenged and discarded old beliefs, and created a plan with achievable action steps. Now thanks to the clarity Julie helped me find, I’m back in charge of the growth of my company and while certainly busy, no longer crippled by overwhelm.” – Paula A, Springfield, VA
“Julie Gray has had amazing impact on me as a Time Management Coach. She uses her skills to truly understand the real issues behind what we seem to think is time management. It’s really self management. Julie has helped me “try on” solutions that fit the way my brain works. There are no cookie cutter approaches—she looks at the core issues and has helped me come up with a plan. I highly recommend her to anyone who is overwhelmed and seeking relief. She is sensitive. brilliant and intuitive.” – Wendy Hanson, M.Ed, CPPC, Oakland, CA
